I've had the torch since it was released. about a week ago, i noticed some weird behavior with the touch screen typing. When the keyboard is on the screen, if i touch the 'p' key it would also think im touching the 'q' key. likewise any other key to the right of the 'q'. This happens on all 3 rows of the keys.

A battery pull usually solves this but its becoming a pain in the ***.

I'm running .337 and am seeing the very same issues. A reboot also solves it but it remains annoying!

Have removed recent software installs but it made no difference... Seems to occur every couple of days... May have to resort to a wipe :-(

Yeah that is one of the reasons I ditched touch screen phones and boug this amazing 9780!

I think it may have something to do with using the media player because I only started using it to listen to music. Still trying to isolate this

Mine has become worse... kicks in within the hour of a battery pull now... think it may be a hardware issue?

I've wiped it, downgraded to .246 clean with no apps and it still happens... same with .337 clean with no apps...

Thinking warranty replacement time (#4!)

@vapour_lock did you resolve yours? any tips?

Sounds to me like a hardware problem. Ive had my torch since launch day and have no issues with the touch screen on any of the OS builds to date.

I just received my warranty replacement (no green dot so I think it's actually a new one and not refurb) and all working fine again now with all 3rd party apps loaded...

still happening. i've been using the keyboard but seems silly to have to deal with this. will try getting a replacement
