what would you need to "jailbreak" it for anyway? It not like with the iphone or itouch where its locked down so u can't install apps from outside the bb store, which from my understanding is the only restriction that is resolved by jailbreaking is it not?

Yes I realize thay hence why I put it in " " my question however was if the only purpose for it is so they can install 3rd party apps from other vendors......was not saying that you could "jailbreak" a BB thanks tho

The BB app store isn't close to the apps available in the Apple app store so its not even worth jailbreaking anyways (if the was jailbreak available for the bb).
