- Not a stupid Q.
Check the Radio Frequencies.
It advertizes as a world phone so probably.

USA: 850, 1900: Torch has GSM and UMTS for both
Europe: 900, 1800, 2100: Torch has GSM on 900 & 1800, UMTS on 2100
Japan: 800: Torch has UMTS
South Korea, Singapore: 2100: Torch has UMTS
Don't need to unlock it for internation service if you have AT&T as your carrier. If you unlock the phone you may or may not have good coverage as other carriers use other frequencies in different area.08-05-10 07:53 AMLike 0 - Yes it is a world phone. I don't see a CDMA availability, i mean my Verizon 9650 has the ability to pick up GSM or CDMA so if unlocked i could technically use it on AT&T or another service provider. If unlocked i know i wouldn't get 3G but it could work on Verizon? or another world carrier?
Thanks for the replies too08-05-10 02:11 PMLike 0
