How would you make a hybrid phone then? Most posters on here say "sliders are horrible" okay so how else would you like to see a touchscreen with a keyboard. I personally would hate to see a hybrid the same as my 9700 just with a touchscreen as to me that shows lack of effort. I want to have a big screen (like the DROID or HD2) with a keyboard so I'm asking you guys how would that be possible without a slider?

The one thing I was thinking of was two-sided. It could have a large touchscreen on one side and a small screen and keyboard on the other. The downside, of course, would be that your fingers would be all over the touchscreen while typing on the keyboard. The upside is the best of both worlds - and as a added bonus, you could have a "front" facing camera for video calls (like that's gonna happen).

For me part of the point of a touchscreen is a large screen. That's why I'm also disappointed if the resolution on this slider thing is really gonna be just 360x480. That's the same as my 9700. If it's taking up twice the area it should have twice that many pixels and be at least 480x640 or 480x720.
