    Yesterday I got a message about an issue with my media card asking if I wanted to repair. I decided to reboot my phone and after it had completed it came back with a message saying

    'Uncaught exception: Index 45 >= 45'

    I clicked OK, and now my Text message icon has dissapeared. Not only that, but I cannot retrieve any texts either sent or received in my messages folder.

    I know I have received some, as when I search text in universal it shows part of the messages there. However I cannot open them or respond to them.

    Does anybody have an idea of how to fix this as I am at a loss.

    I am running 6.0.0.246 (I know I am due an upgrade, however I cannot find my USB to connect to my laptop)

    Thanks all for your help!

    Sounds like an error in one or more messages. How to fix it is beyond me other then to reload your OS.

    FYI, you don't need to update with your pc, you can use the OTA(over the air) upgrade option although it does take a bit longer and you definitely want to make sure you have battery power and best to be connected to wifi(although wifi is not needed it goes a bit faster).

    Options > Device > Software Updates.
