If the CPU is the engine, and the OS is the driver, then the MEMORY is the gas-tank size. You can have the fastest engine with the best driver, but if you only have a 1 gallon tank it does not matter.
Rim needs to up the device ram/app memory to 1gb or more. This, along with making apps card or device memory storable, I would find more functional than a battery guzzling "faster" cpu.
