Hi, hoping you can help a noob.

On my new Torch, when I open the slider the phone locks, when I close the slider the phone unlocks.

Is there anything I can do to change this round? I have tried a battery pull with no success.

Never heard of this happening. My only suggestion would be to try reloading the OS. IF your not comfortable with this, then take it in for repair. Either way it sounds like a hardware failure not a software failure.

Phone was bought Sim free from Amazon - not sure how they deal with repairs, thought they'd more than likely just swap the phone.
