    Hi

I searched already but couldn't find what I was looking for. I broke my torch and got one from a friend, but he had it password protected. I want to have it set up to not use a password at all. I go to options-password but it wont let me disable it. Box is greyed out

You will need to disable encryption on the media card first, and then you can go back in and disable the password.

On your OS, it should be:
Options --> Advanced Options --> Media Card --> Encryption Mode = 'None'

Options --> Security Options --> General Settings --> Enable/Disable should appear.

You have an IT Policy applied. You can find the removal instructions easily by searching.

From where did your friend obtain the device? Was it a work provided device? Was it active on a BES?

It sounds like it has an IT Policy on it.

Go into the How To forum and find the thread titled "How To Remove IT Policy" and follow those steps.
