Went to Best Buy and got one for free with a 2 year renewal of my contract. Thought about getting a 9780, but I'm getting a refurbished 9700 for work to replace my 8130. This Torch will replace my 9000 Bold which I'm passing on to my girlfriend.
Of course, the first thing I am doing is upgrading the software to the latest version. Haven't even tried to make a call yet!! LOL!
Good choice. If you enjoy the pphone half as much as I do you will have a great time. The combination of OS6, touchscreen, and keyboard is a wonder. And after the new OS install there are some wondrous themes awaiting.

Welcome to the club, but I would spend some time getting used to it before upgrading the OS. As long as it has .246 on it I would leave it be for a bit until you get used to OS6. That way when a bug arises you know it wont be because of the OS upgrade.
Well, so far so good. I have noticed the phone is a bit laggy at times. It's not a major issue, but it can be a little annoying. There are a few other quirks that I'm getting used to as well, but all in all, it seems to be a pretty good phone.
