I'll replace my 9550. It's been by far my favourite phone, but it simply doesn't sit well on GSM networks. Not to mention, it has no HSPA compatibility in NA.

I hate to admit it but I seriously think RIM dropped the ball on this one.
Not that it really matters, but RIM's complacency prompted me to look at the "dark side".
I honestly don't see what a blackberry will do that the i4 won't.
I've been a crackhead for years. I'm not whining, just stating my thoughts.

You can use your Blackberry as a phone without attaching a $30 "bumper" to it.

    If that's all there is.........
I need to reiterate, I'm a staunch bb guy. Mainly b/c my berries have just always "worked". I was forever cracking (in fun) all my iPhone friends till my friend says: "I'll give you my 3g when my i4 arrives. Then you can see for yourself"
Cool, you're on!! I spent the last 4 days on my kids ITouch and I like the UI. Its easier. I've researched Outlook syncing and gmail push, all works well (from what I've read)
The biggest "knock" for me was the keypad but, I can type quicker, with fewer mistakes on it.
I should have the 3g in a day or 2 and I'll rock it till the 9800 drops. If its not as good or better (for me), I'll switch.
I just want a device that works for me, that's it.

Eew. Don't come to Rogers. Just buy it unlocked. It should hopefully run on Bell's HSPA network.

If I decide to pull the trigger on this one I'll be upgrading my 9700. Love the 9700 (with a theme on it) but simply hate the web experience. Hated it so much that when the Pre+ came to AT&T I went and bought one off contract. Still using the Pre+ and it has grown on me but at the same time I miss my BB.

Assuming that I when actually get my hands on a 9800 and test drive it in the store and it lives up to its billing, I may upgrade my 9700 in Nov 2010 and that assumes a Black Friday release.

I will be upgrading from a Bold 9000. It's been a really good phone, and it's is great shape considering how much it's been used (got it the first week they came out). I've had no troubles with it, just time for a new phone with a bigger screen and a better browser.

I'm coming from a 9000. I love this phone and i would not switch it up for anything. I'm hoping the 9800 its something like a bold with a touch screen. I refuse to give up a keypad and RIM has answered that with the 9800. I will switch blindly cause my 9000 has been the best phone ever. I do everything from video streaming, browsing, texting, MMS, BBM, tethering, etc. Yes its not perfect but as old as it is it still has the power to do everything I need it. I hope the 9800 can live up to the 9000 standards.
