I was not the only one who commented on their data dropping but good thing for me is it only happens now when I reboot my phone. All I have to do is turn off radio wait a few seconds and turn it back on again.04-23-11 05:16 PMLike 0

I've been running this since it was leaked and all in all I like it loads better then .526. Only noticeable difference(that I've noticed) is the stupendous battery life over .52604-23-11 05:49 PMLike 0 - This is the worst OS ever for all devices and now its official O_o

ELITE1's Quick OS6 UPGRADE GUIDE
- (Optional) Uninstall any previous OS from your PC.
- Download OS to PC. Use Internet Explorer to do so, not Firefox or Chrome. (For leaked versions, the browser is irrelevant though.)
- Following successful DL, run OS file to install OS on PC.
- On BB, go to BBM Options, scroll down to Backup section. Ensure Remote Backup is enabled AND also conduct a Local Backup to media card.
- Go through any 3rd party apps that have option to save settings to media card, and conduct Backup to media card from menu within each of these apps. (Examples: all Bellshare apps such as BerryBuzz & BerryWeather; QuickLaunch; Shao's apps such as Wallpaper Changer & SixTools; Show Me The Images; etc).
- Connect BB to PC. Open DM and backup device. Close DM.
- (Optional) Use desktop program like BBSAK or BBMCP to backup 3rd party apps.
- On PC, navigate to
64-bit: Computer/C:/Program Files (x86)/Common Files/Research In Motion/AppLoader and delete file therein called Vendor.
32-bit: Computer/C:/Program Files/Common Files/Research In Motion/AppLoader and delete file therein called Vendor. - (Optional/Recommended) Run BB Boss or Shrink-A-OS/BBHybrids Tool.
- In same AppLoader file where you deleted Vendor, double-click on Loader to initiate OS upgrade. Follow onscreen instructions.

****These instructions only work if you are a Bell customer using the Bell version of the OS6 download****
This assumes you already have Desktop Manager 6 installed on a PC.
1. Download and install the newer device OS on your PC
2. Start Desktop Manager 6 and connect the BlackBerry via USB cable
Desktop Manager 6 will discover the new version and prompt that there is an 'Update Available'. Through a short series of steps it will walk you through the backup and update of your device. It will not remove your apps. 30 minutes.Last edited by pmccartney; 04-24-11 at 08:44 PM. Reason: Vendor file comment
04-24-11 09:00 AMLike 0 - Every build has issues. The Pic and music lag in 486 turned me off. 337 had alright batt life buy 448 was better.
534 - I've had no problems withthis build except for the browser issues on CB and Wap. Double tap - problem fixed with a 6 font.
Too each there own but to say 526 and 534 are the worst have obviously not tried 246. Heck I couldn't even hear the person on theother end. Volume SUCKED. Lags in all media. Bluetooth and wifi drop ontheir own. Funny I haven't had any of these issues with 526 or 534 but other ppl have.
Also everyone loads their OS differently. I buddy backs up and wipes and reloads. I install overtop and I never seem to have the same issues that same ppl. He gets the thinking clock a lot and some lag on apps. We are running the same OS and the same FB/Twitter.04-24-11 10:52 AMLike 0 - BlackBerry Handheld Software v6.0.0.2391 (All Languages)

I think it's cause they upgraded the platform from 6.4 to 6.6 but aside from that i cant figure out why they're so bad. .486 is still the best Torch OS hands down...the one with the least problems. And by least i mean barely.
believe carriers are baselining these builds. Copy and paste between native
apps broke in 500 series as well as apps hanging when closing them.
I have reverted back to 448 and all is good for me again - browser works
properly, copy and paste between apps is good, 3rd party apps work without
hangups.04-24-11 11:32 AMLike 0 - Seriously, what's the point in releasing all these OS, if there is little or no difference with the older ones.
I had the same issue with the leaked .526, it was all over the place...battery drain, frquent freezing, picture quality was bad.
I had to downgrade back to the official .448, which is very stable and reliable.
Now, they've made .534 official, and people are still complaining about it...so what's really the whole point of these OS updates if they're not gonma much differences?
I think I may stop this habit of upgrading my OS till a brand new one comes out...6.1, cos I don't see the point in wasting my time and energy of going through the whole update process, only for the OS to worse or have no difference with the older ones.
For now, I'll keep using .448 until a brand new OS is released, or another official updated OS is released, which works brilliantly!
