I never needed a battery pull however I noticed that the turn off button, if you press it, it gives you an option for a normal turn off or a full turn off, is the full turn off like the batteru pull but doesn't require you to physically remove the battery??

I'm pretty sure that menu only comes on if you have alarms, task or calendar events set (correct me if I'm wrong). Which means, a full turn off won't bring the device out of standby state to sound any alarms o alerts, while normal will bring it back on so it can sound the alarms.

One way to see if its the same as a battery pull, open the browser, visit a website, turn it off, and if the website you visited before turning it off is still there, then its not the same as a battery pull or an alt+rshift+del
