Is there a way to lock the slider portion, like an app. I had a slide phone before and the slider portion was weak after 6 months. I know you can use the keyboard on screen so you dont have to use the slide but is there a way to lock it until i want to use it.

I really do not see this being an issue with the torch, you have to make a pretty deliberate motion to open the slide.

options in sms, you can change wether or not the virt keyboard appears, then when you want to see it, in the menu, enable virt keypad
