I caught up on emails and such at 6:00-7:00 this morning; worked 7:30-3:30pm with moderate BBM-ing; used it for a full hour over lunch, using Pocket Informant for planning and BBM/Facebook simultaneously. Back on evening shift, 6pm-10:00pm, listening to mp3's and using BBM for the entire 4 hours...
I'm home now, 10:45pm and have 40% left. :-) I'm impressed! None of my other BB's (except 8700) had battery power like this.

my updates to Facebook is every 2 hours, the screen brightness is turn to 30%
and YES i have 3G ON, wi-Fi ON and bluetooth ON at all times.
I'm with mark on this one, although I don't use facebook but everything else applies.
I have just gotten in the habit of throwing it on the desktop charging pod every night as I use it as my clock next to my bed now also.

I also have everything on with brightness on full (but don't do FB). My battery easily lasts throughout the day with a couple of 30+ minute calls and the occasional 60+ call throughout the week. In addition, when I'm at the office and I'm at lunch I may spend time playing Number Cruncher.
Its better than I expected. It gets me through the day almost no problem, but there's no chance in **** it'll last more than a day. I'm almost always at around 30 or 40 percent come the end of the days, and some days if I've been using it a lot at work or school I top of the battery using my car charger to make sure it gets me through the night if I'm going out. My 8900's battery was much better, and would always last me 2 days even on really heavy usage, but I guess that's the price of the new phone haha.

That's basically the exact same as me. Except I don't have a car, if I'm going out I just try not to use it a lot. I'm on my phone constantly though and by the end of a normal day it's to around 30 or 40%. As long as it lasts a full day, you can't complain unless you plan on not being home or somewhere to charge it.
My battery had to go thru a conditioning process it would seem. The first 1-2 weeks were horrid! Could barely get through one day, and I'm not talkin heavy use either. Now its perfect, lasts even longer than my 8330 did, with heavier use too. Usually ill get almost 2 full days if I forget to charge nightly.

My battery is good I charge it once a day and I have only been in the red once but thats cause I was on it all day. I do not use it for talking too much either.
My day starts at 6am and ends at 11pm. When I put the torch on charge at night my battery is usually around 40, maybe 35 percent. Ooo. Did I mention that I am a true heavy user? 30 emails per day, heaving web surfing, maybe 10 minutes of video, facebook etc. And usually around 10 to 15 voice calls.

Being a heavy user my objective with the Torch was/is to get me through the day, it does just that with extra to spare usually about 30% coming from a 9700 (which was one of the best perhaps the best batteries) plus I bought a car charger for emergencies - couldn't be happier
