I just switched to from a Verizon Tour 9630 to a ATT Torch 9800 and I can not figure out how to transfer the contacts. I have tried doing backup/restore using the desktop software and I tried using the switching to new device menu options, but contacts don't transfer! On top of that, I ported my number, so my Verizon dosen't work, so I cant use google to transfer... PLEASE HELP! Thanks in advance
With the restore part of DM I think there was an advanced option that I used to select only my contacts. If not you could bluetooth them over to your new phone. I had a problem too trying to restore contacts from my storm 1 to the 9800. I did a backup of only the phone numbers and restored only that setting it worked for me.
