Everytime i send an email from gmail it shows up in my inbox on my Blackberry Torch, how do i stop this from happening?

You have to set a filter for emails sent from your own email in BIS or gmail

i would have to do from gmail. i tried doing it but i can determine what the filter should say. any recommendations? thanks!!!!

I have the bold 9700 and the same thing happens to me and my gmail. I send an email from my computer, and then it shows up right away on my blackberry. I don't really find it a problem though. I think its normal.

I have the same problem, and it's really annoying. If someone would please be so kind as to walk a non-tech person through this in clear language step-by-step, it would be greatly appreciated!

1. Click on your messages.
2. Click the Menu button
3. Click Options
4. Click Message Display and Actions
5. Click the checkbox that says "Hide Sent Messages"

To not receive them on the device at all, set filter as jcj1 advised. Do the following:

Log into BIS.
Select "filters" (filters are available for each email account).
Add Filter
Give the filter a name (ex: sent)
Apply filter when "From:" field
Contains: <enter your email address>
Click Do not forward messages to device
Save.
Ensure "When no filters apply" Forward messages to device is selected.

No, you don't need to hide your "sent mssgs". There are detailed instructions posted somewhere here on CB on how to set up your filter through your BIS acct.

Do a CB search on "gmail sent messages" or something along those lines. I will see what I can come up with and if I find it I will post back.
