Hello, forumners! I am new to Blackberry, and while I love it, I have a few problems, of course. For now, I just have a simple question concerning the headset options. I have a pair of BB earphones; the ones that came with the phone, mind you. I like being able to talk on the phone via headset, but I would like to be able to answer the phone and hang up with the little button on the earphones. For now, it just mutes it; not very useful.

If you have a suggestion, please let me know, I would appreciate it, helpful or not. I'm running the 9800 Torch with BBOS 6

You need to press and hold the button for a few seconds.

If not on a call, this will start the voice dialing.

If on a call, it will hang up.

I really suggest you read the user guide for more basic info on how to use your new phone.

Thank you, that's very helpful! And I'm assuming it will answer if you hold it? Hmm, this is my first Blackberry, and so far I'm loving it and this site; it's been very helpful.
