- At first I was confused by "Google Local" also, but I think I have it figured out.
From the Home screen select the "search" magnifying glass. Type your search term "pizza" (or select the microphone to voice search). Then select the "Google Local Search" icon below. This places the search term in the top field and "My Location" in the bottom field. You have the option to search in other locations by changing "My Location", to say Toronto, ON. The results point to "Pizza Pizza" on Yonge St. For me the closest is a Pappa Murphy's. Your option sounds better. Menu items allow calling, mapping or adding to contacts.
I am still puzzled that I can't access it directly form the Home screen. I can't seem to find an application icon for it and tried to show a fellow BB user the service but they did not have this option. We couldn't figure out how to get it form Google or the App store.
Where does it hide and how did I get it?10-17-11 10:16 PMLike 0
