it seems the only way I can get to my google calendar is to go to goole apps and pick it from the list, I would like to have it as an icon just like my gmail. I don't want to sync my calendar I just want a quick way to get to it, thanks

just open up your calendar icon on your phone, it syncs there when you sync it.

Be sure the Google calendar is the default one, if you have more than one on the device.

the problem is, there is now google calendar icon, I can only get to it by going into google apps and picking from the list, how do I get the icon on the phone?

I have found that when I want my google calendar to sync on demand, I just go into default settings... Change the default email to another... Save it... And then back to my google email. It syncs it up and all is good. But then again, I only update my work sched. every month, so for me, this isn't much of a chore.
