    I recently wiped my BB 9800 and am now in the process of getting all the data sorted out again. All is in place, except one: gmail contacts and gmail calendar. Before the wipe, all my contacts on BB and calendar on BB would be sync with gmail. After the wiping the data, I had the service books resent from the e-mail setup app on BB. All e-mails are now trickling down fine, but I can�t get the contact and calendar to sync. Both the calendar and the contact are ticket on in the setup for synchronization.

    Am I missing out something? Is there anything I need to do inorder to initiate the syncronisation?

    I have seen in other posts at crackberry at it might take 3 hours, but now it is close to 20 hours since thw wipe, and I still have neitehr any contacts or appointments on my BB...

    happens to me all the time.

    - login to your BIS account (on your PC)
    - delete the gmail account
    - re-add the gmail account
    - reactivate the gmail account on the BB via email setup

    @pmccartney: thanks! That did the trick. Apparently, it needs to get the security activation before it starts synchronisation of calendar and contacts
