I've lost my 9700 and buyed a new 9800. Now I've the Problem, that I want to restore the passwordkeeper content to the new BB, but in the Desktop Manager the option to restore the passwordkeeper (amount of content will shown) ist greyed out.
Had a similar problem and got this info from RIM. Plug in the phone, open desktop manager, click on "Applications." A list of apps will come up. Password Keeper will probably say "uninstalled." Click on the "+" next to it to install it; then click on "Apply" at bottom right. That should restore it your Torch.
In the Applications the passwordkeeper (in german shown as "Kennwortverwaltung") is installed. I've tried to deinstall and install it again, but it doesn't help.
Is it able for a languageproblem? In Applications it is shown as "Kennwortverwaltung" and in the restore it is shown as passwordkeeper
1. start empty passwordkeeper
2. set old password
3. go to options and disable wireless sync
4. restart BB
5. connect the BB with the desktop and start BB DM
6. start restore from old backup.
