Anyone have experience with this? Any on-line resources (manuals, how-to's, etc.) to look at? Ford's sites are "okay"-could be better, just wanted to check with ya'll, get some pointers. I've looked at some of the threads here already. Jim
I have a 2010 mustang, but it has the ford sync. Turn off your wifi if you want to stream music over bluetooth from your cell to your car system. Other than that, enjoy!
I have a 2010 F-150 and it works great with my Torch. Streams music well. Bluetooth hands free phone features (address book/missed calls/etc.) work well. It does not read text messages and as radiochik mentioned, turn off wifi when connecting to your truck via bluetooth. The shared wifi/bluetooth chipset doesn't perform well when both are on.
Both syncmyride.com and fordsyncforum.com are pretty informative if you look around. The factory SYNC manual (separate from the owners manual) that came with my truck had a lot of good info as well.
my Torch and Sync work well together.... no issues with the wifi on/off streaming music. The only issue I have is I cannot hear my voice mail over the Sync.... anyone else?
I haven't tried listening to voice mail. Are you using the visual voice mail or are you actually calling your mailbox via the phone? And you must have not streamed enough if you're not having any wifi interruption issues.
Interesting point. I haven't tried visual VM. Does that work with a bluetooth headset? Maybe the torch doesn't have provisions for that audio to go through BT? you'd think they did though... I'll have to check!
