    HELP ME!

Well im writing this post to inquire how to solve this issue:
I have a 9800 torch and i wanted to upgrade the OS to the latest 448, when doing so by apploader (after deleting vendor) the apploader gave and error that it cannot detect the phone and the phone went into 507 error.
Since that time i am trying to install the OS, its just not happening.
the app loader gets stuck at reconnecting JVM and then the same error pop up.
I did a Wipe using BBsak and tried again.
    Same result.
I am not able to load the OS in the phone.
I even tried the CMD loader, exe /nojvm still the same.
    Please help!

507 just means there's no OS. Does any of this help:

Get .448 from a different link/website and restart the whole process (installing it, deleting the vendor file and loading on to your device).

448 is 448 no matter where you get it from. That's not the problem.

OP here's more JVM threads to check out: http://forums.crackberry.com/f83/stu...ng-jvm-101091/

Try connecting the phone to your computer with a different microUSB cable. The one I got with my torch was a bit flaky, but I had another cable on hand and it's worked flawlessly.

I was suggesting what worked for me when I was in the same situation.

Woah Atleast after 27 Tries it worked.
    This is what i did,
I dont knw what made the difference but yes.

I downloaded a lower OS 6.0.0.246 i think instead of 448, and then ran app loader with run as admin.
I removed my battery while doing so.
Started app loader and then connected the phone without a battery and then clicked next asap.
Then as the phone first states of the install was taking place, before the connectin g to jvm task i popped the battery inside.

and poof it went past the connecting option and started installing the OS.

    Woah! Phew atlast it worked.
I knw nuthin much to worry about as i keep experimenting with phones, but this phone is my managers :@ and my rep wud get popped if i dint get this right.

Anywayz thanx for all the support and hope the things i did mite help others.

    Cheers

ok, it still the same OS. Did you wait longer to let it work thru the jvm connecting portion?

Nope, Just ask the installation starts, the steps before JVM, actually even before initializing device just pop the battery inside. The moment it comes to JVM its works a bit and goes forward
