I don't think Swype has made it yet for Blackberry. At least, their website doesn't indicate it.

no it's not on the 9800 and I don't know if it will be available or not. I tried it out on the Captivate and thought with practice it would be decent.

Swype on the Torch would make it THE Perfect device!

Is there a reason why a developer couldn't make an app or widget? Does the OS provide the necessary hooks to replace the default virtual keyboard with something else?

Seriously! It sems like a "techy" pro would have developed this by now.
Ok, so that is my challenge to all you CB folks - develop Swype for the Torch - you'll be my HERO!

Swype is brilliant. Every touchscreen device should have that option.

Swype has to be licensed doesn't it? I don't think anyone can just port it over. Htc pay a lot to have swype on their phones.

I understand there is a license fee, but as with an app, I would pay for it. If it was a downloadable option, say through the app store, I would SOOOO be all over that!

What I mean is that I think it has to be licensed by the manufacturer? I might be misinterpreting that though.
