    I want to disable the browser banner. That is the banner that tells you the site your browsing, signal strength, wifi strength n such. I have no use for it. In my previous blackberries I could use the "u" to do that but in this phone it won't work. I have shortcuts enabled and can use other shortcuts but this one seems to be disabled.

    No I think RIM assumed that the screen is fairly large, and there is no reason it needs to be disabled on the torch.
