    When Verizon sends me data via SMS answer is can not be installed because service plan missing.
    I phoned Verizon and they told me everything is OKAY in their end. and gave me the following settings for "a smartphone" and Blackberrys

    APN: XXXXXX.Telia.se
    IP: 10.254.254.254 (Gateway)
    Port: 8080

    In my new Torch I can only add;

    APN: XXXXXX.Telia.se
    User name:-
    Password:-

    Verizon is CDMA and the torch is for a GSM carrier(ATT uses a sim card and verizon is locked to verizon and no sim needed). 2 totally different cell phone technologies, this is the same reason you dont see the same phones at both carriers. You cannot use the torch on verizons network.

    Ok, I have to ask this question, where are you attempting to access this service? I see no location data for you, so this would help. Thanks!

    I have checked my new Torch. Bought in Germany and I am trying to start it up in Sweden. Carrier info in Europe is;
    ==> BlackBerry Torch 9800 - smartphone - WCDMA (UMTS) / GSM

    You need to make sure that frequencies built into the devices are supported by the carriers you would like to use it on.
