when I first got my 9800 earlier today I was not able to get on internet. i pulled out the battery and rebooted and then it worked. So maybe if you try taking out the battery it will work. I had called the store where I bought it and that is the advice they gave me. they said in the first 72 hrs there are updates done by blackberry.
