Hello everyone, I'm new to the BB world and I have just picked up a used 9800. The phone was locked to Telstra (I'm in Australia) and I followed these instructions to get it unlocked.

Can't post a youtube URL because I don't have an adequate post count... It is the video that describes how to unlock the Bb using unlock2go from bbunlock.

When in the sim settings it says "Network - Disabled" as it should, but for some reason everything works as per the video, but when I put my vodafone sim in, it says "vodafone australia" up the top of the screen, but won't allow any incoming or outgoing calls.

If anyone has any idea, I'd be greatly appreciative.

    Cheers.

You have to contact your carrier and let them know that your plan needs to be changed to a BlackBerry Plan, I think.?

No that won't matter I think because I'm not using a BlackBerry plan.Infact,I'm not using even a data plan, but I can still use most BlackBerry functions except podcast.
