I want to connect my laptop to my BB Torch 9800 and use the Fax software in Windows 7 do dial up a fax machine over the telephone network and send a Fax.
I called AT&T and they tried to sell me a data plan with tethering which I believe is only useful if you want to use your phone to connect your laptop to the internet over AT&T's data network. I just want to make a phone call to a fax machine over the regular phone network.
Any suggestions. I've seen lots of instructions for tethering, but none to set up the BB as a modem.
