Hi there. I downloaded some software to make themes for my cellphone and I'm having a lot of fun with it. But I can't seem to find a way to make an image and have the background transparent. I'm not sure if there's a way to tell paint to save it like that or not. Does anyone know of a free program I can do that in? Any help at all would be great

Try Gimp. Its a free alternative to photoshop, and will allow you to make transparencies.

    Second Gimp.

Also check out Paint.Net - it's sort of a photoshop lite, also free, windows only.

go to filehippo.com and download paint.net and then just do whatever you want to the pic and save it as a .png

i like paint.net better then even adobe cs4 (less confusing for the simple tasks)
