I can't wait to the day we will be able install OS 6.0 on the 9650.
Until then a theme will have to do.
I came across this OS 6.0 theme that I installed on my Bold today. It has a lot more animation than I thought. Nice theme.

    Superstore

I like how it displays the home screen as a today screen when you move your cursor over the calendar.

I spoke too soon. It looks really cool and runs smoothly, but I kept "over-scrolling" to the messages or media portion of the bottom dock whenever I would go left or right. I can see that getting annoying. If there was a way to disable that I would keep this theme for sure.

    how about this one:

    http://thesmallprint.org/blackberry/...d/tweaked2.jad

    today version:

    http://thesmallprint.org/blackberry/...ked2_today.jad

dock scrolls, escape hides the dock, spacebar shows it. semi transparent menus and dialogs, minimal info bar at the top.

There are sooo many variations at this point of the OS 6 theme, many people are making them. The scrolling is either on point, or way too hard to navigate. In this theme, way to hard to navigate in my opinion.

Personally, the hidden today is annoying for me, as I dont want to see my read SMS or calendar entries, if I wanted to, I would enter the application.

Which more developers offered both options, since its honestly SO easy to do in TB5

It's like before 5.0 came out. There were tons of 5.0 themes - none of them looked quite perfect. Even after 5.0 came out, the 5.0 themes for the non-5.0 devices still didn't work quite right. I'm in the "wait till it comes out" camp. Honestly I'm not even sure I like it out of the box. Too much going on on the screen. Let me see my wallpaper!

Thanks! The one with the today theme is awesome. It shows more calendar entries than the 6.0 version I downloaded. I like this new calendar today feature. I'm able to see my upcoming appointment times better than viewing them in the calendar itself.

I tried this theme and really didn't like it much. Just not my style. I recommend the Appleberry themes

Is there anyway to set the background screen where you view applications to the color black. I changed my Home Screen, but was unable to change the applications screen.

No. I'll change it to something a little more generic, though.

Updated both versions with a more generic appscreen. unfortunately TB 5 doesn't let you have dynamic appscreens, which is stupid.
