On my Torch 9860, I downloaded several free themes via BlackBerry World. Each of these themes request permission to use Advanced Capabilities. But, this permission apparently would allow the theme application to do operations like 'simulating key presses' and 'modifying Internet browsing'. To me, that seems extreme and risky. I would like to use themes on my 9860, but I was wondering if someone could tell me if giving permission for those capabilities is a standard and normal part of using themes on BBOS 7. And, also is it safe?

Safe. I did it all the time on my BBOS7 device. No problem. If you want the theme to work properly, give it all the permissions.
