    OK lets start by saying this, I tead the lecture on unlocking the hidden vendor themes I did this, on my stock OS 4.5.0.77 the first day in had it and it worked beautifully now I am 2 months in and running a hybrid
    and it is not working I delete the vendor id and follow all the instructions to the letter and nothing... I did notice the vendor.xml file is not in the loader folder is
    is this a problem or perhaps the device.xml and its back up, I removed them because i installed a hybrid os and DM gave me issues, should I toss the vendor.xml ile back in the folder will this action stop my DM from recognizing the OS and this update!!

    As long as it's the same device model (ie 8330, 8900, etc) there shouldn't be any problem.

    if you can't get to the loader files folder, it is because you haven't installed an OS for your phone

    I went to the download site and for tmo theres a message saying I need to do an online update direct to my phone
    Will doing this put the software on my computer so I can edit files? I am asking because the message below said to download it and I appear to have no option to download, it seems to want to update directly to my phone and it running the Application Loader.
    Thanks
    i jumped out of my seat when this worked lol... Rogers, O2, Vodafone, TMO etc... Many thanks to pinstack.com for the detailed step by step...

    To download the correct operating system start here: BlackBerry - BlackBerry Desktop and Device Software Download Sites

    Orange's theme is quite interesting... Never saw the TMO white backround, pink highlight before (UK TMO)...

    I think i might like the O2 Zen theme the best.... What does everyone else think?

    Can someone please let me/us know if this still works? Exactly what to do with diff BB's? Will it work on all BB's? Was originally posted in 2007, not sure if still able.

    Does it unlock all vendor themes on the phone itself? So if i goto themes in options, it will list every vendor theme? Or do i have to download them??

    First let me say that I did NOT read all 525 posts.

    My 9700 from T-Mobile came with .330 and I've upgraded to .423. I found the blackberry.alx file and made a copy (just in case). But I do not see anything similar to...

    <!-- Cingular US filesets -->

    <fileset Colour="True" KeyboardType="Qwerty" Java="1.0" series="8800" _vendorID="102">

    I do have....

    <fileset Colour="True" series="Onyx" Java="1.0" _vendorID="100">

    If this is the line I need to edit is it the only line? And do I just delete _vendorID="100"

    and this (a number of times)

    <fileset Java="1.0" WLAN="True" UMA="True" _vendorID="100">

    OK, I have carefully tried to follow these instruction (and the ones on Pinstack) about a dozen times, to no avail. I have an 8330m on Sprint (vendorID= 104) OS=4.5.0.175 Platform=3.4.0.55. I have downloaded the OS on my PC several times, tried it with and without vendor.xml deleted, and with vendorID references deleted and with 104 added, it never tells me I have an update. When I use app loader, it lists the same OS twice, tried both and each time it says "No software update is required for your device"

    I am stumped, please help!

    stupid question
    Before I can apply any different theme I have to delete vendor files???
    I read that with certain carries you must do things a certain way.
    But I am a little confused I have a blackberry 8320 with tmobile programing which is unlocked for ATT, so I am a little confused how to even start. If someone could have the patience and help me that would be great thank you.

    I don't believe so. Just make sure that the theme you want to install has been designed for your phone and/or operating system. You're not going to want a theme that was written for the Storm if you have an 8320. Over the past several weeks I've downloaded, installed and removed 20-30 different themes on my 9700. I keep going back to the same one. Most of them look better in the thread then on the phone.
