Well, reading all the reviews and the such, the Style seems like an amazing phone! (I personally like the torch for the touch screen ... I do have a Storm2 lol, but I know AT&T phones can't be unlocked for VZW).

But, since Sprint and Verizon are both CDMA, is it at all possible to get a Style unlocked for Verizon?

My S2 is really on its last legs right now (software and hardware alike), and I know if I got a Style it would hold me over for the 5 months until a QNX, LTE, touch screen drops for Verizon (or I may like the Style so much I would just keep it, which is possible seeing how much I've enjoyed the reviews and hands on demos )

Nope. It's not like GSM devices where you just have to swap the SIM between phones.

CDMA carriers register the ESN. If the ESN is registered with one carrier, it is very difficult to get it registered with another. Lots of databases to change over (on the carrier side).
