If I have my phone on vibrate or silence the alarm still goes off. Is there a way for them to be silent as well?

Nope.
The Sound/Alert profiles only affect those things that are listed in the Profiles.
The Alarm isn't one of them.
If you want the alarm to be silent, you need to set it that way.

its actually a good feature that the profiles don't feature the alarm, and that the alarm has to be specifically told to be silent.
those of us using the alarm as a wake-up tool appreciate rim's foresight into useful defauly settings. =)

Keep the 9650 with minor problems, or get the 9670?
