Hey guys and girls, i have a few questions. I have been trying out themes for a while from beta testing to purchasing a few themes and downloading free ones.

Anywho, I was playing with my room mates Droid Eris last night and liked the way that that the clock and the weather was displayed on the front page. Is there any theme that is close to that without being too cluttered? I have seen the bedroid theme and what not and they are all too cluttered it seems.

Also, for the weather question. I am currently using berryweather since it was free in the app world, but i see a lot of people using weather where it shows a nice big realistic icon on the front page, i was wondering what weather that is and what theme would work best for it?

I have looked around and couldn't find what I was looking for so i hope you guys can help! Here is a pic of my current theme and layout if it helps any.

I use the Miro 2 theme and berryweather. Love the theme and how simple it is.

I'm a big fan of the AppleBerry themes.

And I use Weather Bug. I think the stock OS had trouble with updating icons but .428 works really well.

Sorry the image is so small. I'm new to the forums and not sure how to post images. If you click on the image it will make it big.

I use WeatherBug, but a lot of people seem to be recommending SimpleWeather.

As for the icon showing up on the homescreen - I've heard tale it will only work if you upgrade your OS to .428 - no matter what weather program you use.

It was posted in another thread, though, that SimpleWeather updates with .320. I have yet to confirm this.

Yeah... my thoughts exactly. I downloaded the freetrial and wasn't impressed enough to pay the $9.95.

Will the default theme show any updates from any of the apps on the home screen? I can't get any of them to. I seem to remember reading a post at some point saying you need a theme that will show it.

It's not the theme that's the problem it's the operating system. Storm 2s were shipped with OS 5.0.0.320 which had a bug where it wouldn't show updating icons on the homescreen. The leaked operating system 5.0.0.428 fixed this bug.

There appear to be some weather programs (I think SimpleWeather is one) which somehow modifies the homescreen wallpaper to show the current weather conditions - which works on the stock OS. It's not really an updating icon, though.

I purchased and installed AppleBerry v.6 & v.7 last night and now if I try to choose options to adjust something my Storm2 freezes to the point I have to restart the phone!!! I am so frustrated at this point I just want the damn thing off the phone!! I know this is probably just to ask for help but wanted to let anyone who may have the same things happening they were not alone.

If you go to blackberry app world theres a free version of BerryWeather that still shows all the weather icons on the homescreen. I just hop into opera and hit weather.com to get more info if needed.

    but this is me.

Running a version of Precision Zen Remix, got a few paid themes and keep going back to this one. Can be found in the Storm1 Themes section.
