Im new to themes, not sure how to get them setup etc, im not looking for much all i want to do is remove the transparent boxes at the top and bottom of the screen - is this possible ? So the end result would be the icons like messages etc just floating without the box around them.
I use Precision Zen Remix (a screen shot is attached). The screen shot is their 5 icon theme, but now I use one of the 10i themes.
There's a themes forum on crackberry that you could look through or check out the Storm 2 screenshot thread. Most people in the screenshot thread mention their theme so its a great way to see what they look like.
Yep - precision zen remix is free (another reason why I have it, in addition to how cool it looks). I haven't had any problems with it draining battery or slowing things down either.
I've been reading up on how to instal theme's etc - that zen theme is in the storm 1 section 9530/9500. Would it work on a 9520 as im reading wrong versions can bugger up the device etc....

I have a 9550 and haven't had any problems so I'd think it would work on the 9520 too.
