the title says it all. i've watched a few movie trailers (that i downloaded here) on my storm that were amazing. so i was pretty surprised to find such low quality video when watching youtube. i've tried watching both via the browser and via the youtube app. am i doing something wrong?

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yup the quality sucks for everyone. The way to go is just putting some movies and shows on your media card. I just recently put pineapple express, wall-e, and the dark knight. Quality is gorgeous.

When you make this comparison are you using WiFi or the cell network?

I had the opportunity to really spend some time with an iPhone (1G) this weekend. One of the things I did was a side-by-side comparison of YouTube videos. Brought up the same video on both and looked at them.

    - Video quality was the same on both (not very good)
    - Storm screen was brighter than the iPhone
    - Storm video cached and started playing considerably faster than iPhone (2-3 seconds vs 30+ seconds)
