The OP is referring to the youtube app, not the mobile website. That works fine.
You cannot, however, download the youtube app...App World has the same problem...it'll think that your device isn't compatible with these apps...although the 9550 is.
Give it time, they just need to update everything so that it knows that 9550 is an accepted device. I know this because App World wouldn't let me install many of my previous apps, I had to do it all OTA.
I just go to m.youtube.com on my Storm1 running 5.0 .. Works great. Why do you need the app?
Your 9530 identifies itself to Google (the maker of this youtube client) as a RIM 9530 (I guess that is now known as the Storm 1), whereas the new storm, for some odd reason identifies itself as "RIM unknown model", so when google looks up the model number to get you the version you need for download it doesn't get a hit and it tells you it is not compatible.
So can someone post the COD?
i need my youtube app...
hurry up google!
Its been discussed already. Works great on the Storm 2......

how do i get youtube launcher on my storm 2? please help
Wow this is a old thread but here goes.
If you want just a you tube launcher to go to the mobile site then download this
YouTube Launcher from edlindustries
If you want the APP that was pushed to the 9530 then go download this. It will work on the 9550
YouTube
If you want the best you tube app IMO go download this
Player For YouTube
or of course just go to YouTube - Broadcast Yourself. if you don't want to install anything
the link brings you to file not found so dont try it
Yes that original link is dead but this is a working link to that file
