I heard there is an esn calculator that the techs use to convert the number to give you the unlock code? is that true cause i know there was a calculator to figure something like that out when i work with us cellular

The unlock code is determined using some sort of algorithm based on the serial number of the device. I'd say it's more of a computer program than a calculator if this is how it's done. I got my unlock code within minutes from a verizon rep, so this is very possible. Finding out what that complicated algorithm is, is probably not worth the time.

Yes, there is. It's how 3rd parties give you unlock codes for a fee.

i would call the vzw but im not a customer and from my understanding they won't provide me with the unlock code. if someone out there would help me please pin me
