Call Verizon, ask for blackberry global support, tell them you need the the unlock code to use a european sim, they will give it to you, leave the verizon sim in
Turn on the phone and go to Settings Menu, Options, Advanced Options and then SIM Card. Type in �MEPD� using the keyboard. Type in �MEP� and then another screen pops up for the code, put the code in, you have 10 chances to get it right, dont screw it up press enter and the phone should now be unlocked. Pop att sim in and manage connections to gsm and there you go, I did a test call and it works great, check my voice mail and after I was done I got the prepaid prompt with my current balance from att!

Do you have internet? From what I know it will only work with the internet and no emails becuase they need the service books. Try to put the ATT APN setting and open the browser. Try LogicMail for BlackBerry email.

Forgot, also BB Browser dont work with ARN, try Opera mini, Run it 1st on the Verizon network then change the APN and run Opera.
From what I know and heard, you need 3rd partiy appz to run on the 8830 WE, maybe the 9530 is the same.
Now that You can do this< I see even more people getting the Storm!! Dec 5th Is most likely gonna b another great day for the people that invest in the BB market and for RIM themselves!
