I know this sounds newbish but I've had nothing but great luck with .109 and was just wondering if all you fellow CB'ers out there with .148 think it would be a big improvement to upgrade to .148?

I know I can always go back to .109 if I want to, but I don't have much free time anymore and I'd rather not invest that much time in upgrading, then possibly downgrading if I won't see much of a difference.

    Thanks

I'm leaning towards better. Need a few days to really get a handle on it. Kind of touchy feely. I left my other storm on .109 will I had another on .122. Doing the same between .132 and .148.

I would say yes. I came from .132 which I was very happy with and it was an improvement over .109. .148 so far has been a champ since I installed it last night.

Go look at the findings thread. So many good things posted and overall not that many negatives, unless you just have to have quick launch.
I really like it coming from .132
You can also dl a hybrid instead that will make things even better.

I was on .113 and went to .122 and eventually downgraded back to .113. 122 was too slow and kept throwing up that spinning clock up alot and my memory was way worse on 122 then 113. Never tried .132 or .141. I skipped those and held out for .148. I personally like it. I havent seen any differences from .113 but my app memory started up higher than .113 and is holding pretty good so far.

Well, I took the plunge and went from .109 to .148 and I'm loving it. For whatever reason, over the last few weeks, .109 was rebooting anywhere from 3-6 times a day for me. I've been on .148 for about 5 hours now and not a single reboot.

    I agree.

That being said, I can tell you that my results (so far) have shown an improvement in performance over .141... probably not a surprise if you have been reading anything about findings for .141...

in my opinion, you dont fix whats not broken.

with that being said, if you are happy with .109, i wouldnt upgrade and risk the problems that could be had with .148

Why not? You could always go back.

yes, but then its just another person that can bicker and rant about how much they dispise the storm because of a user error, and they were happy but then tried a new OS and dont know what to do.

personally, .109 is the best, the battery life is great, stable as anything, and NO reboots in 3 months of use.

Just put on .148 yesterday and saw more memory available. Admittedly I don't run a lot of apps..
Added QuickPull and scheduled a daily reboot. Set Memory Clear enabled and see improved (perceived) performance.
    YMMV.

Did .109 have the cut and paste feature? I think that didn't happen until .113.

I would recommend upgrade just to get that feature, and I believe you will find the camera a bit snappier. I also think that the keyboard may have a little quicker then .109.

The "enhanced" cut and paste. There's a highlight square that makes text selection a lot easier. I think .113 was first to sport it.
