I'm waiting for the bold to come out, well since forever, but my wife wants a storm and we are stuck with ATT. Does anyone know if ATT will eventually be releasing this phone?

there is a version of the storm dubbed the 9500 and it is gsm, i think verizon has a 6 month exclusive to the phone so it'll be at least til april before we might see anything

Yes there is a version of the Storm coming for At&t in 2009 with Wi-fi. Its not considered a breach of the exclusiveness because it has wi-fi so its not considered the exact same phone.

The Javelin/Curve 2 is not that far off. I would say Q1 2009 is a good estimate. You will see the Jav hit At&t before the Storm.

That's good to hear. I've looked at the storm but the Javelin will undoubtedly be top notch. I will replace my Bold with the 8900 when it comes out. Thanks

Why would you give up 3G for the Javelin. It's only going to be edge.

But yest Rogers is testing out a 3G GSM Storm now.
