Given that RIM is a Canadian company, why is it that it is still going to be a couple more weeks until Canadians can buy a Storm? It was released on Nov 20th in the US, but what's the deal with the extra month in Canada? I'm not sure I want the Storm over the Bold, but I want to try one, and I can't wrap my head around why a company would release products in foreign markets before the home market. Does anyone have the reason behind this?

I would guess because they wouldn't be able to produce enough units in time for both markets for the US release date and the US market is probably bigger and more lucrative.
Kevin had a meeting with RIM and they decided that in order to keep the forum registration to a minimum so that it wouldn't crash the servers from all the noobs signing up to ask how to get the glow glide to happen on the home screen they saw in the commercials, they would delay the Canada launch for a few weeks.
