how do they release an official fix for a limited problem? My storm seems to click just fine. Don't really know what they would do anyways, besides replace it with newer hardware, which is what you should try.

The click screen issues happens to a number of storms. But not all storms. So that is why there is no fix or recall.

I am looking at needing to get my current one replaced while I am still under my one year thing. Its getting rather stiff in the corner to click.

its not a huge issue for me drift, if i feel motivated enough I will call them but I plan on picking up a storm two so I am not to worried about making it last till then. I dont go in for the whole self fixes. I kept tabs on that thread as it was developing a long time ago and I would rather live with it or get it fixed.

but most likely the problem is w/ the torx screws in the back screwed in too tightly
if u loosen it lil bit, it start clicking again, no need for a business card/sticker fix

I'm sorry but anyone suggesting to loosen the screws on the back has no real understanding of how the screen click mechanism really works on the Storm.

True drift,

but my point was there really is no reason to do it that way. I am still inside my year manufacture warranty which means a free non refurb replacment that dose not come from insurance. I would rather just get a new device than tinker with the old one.

on a side note VZW tech support was helpfull as usual. The first guy was not so helpful but he was not rude either. The second guy had been there a while and it went flawlessly smooth.

thanks for the extra tip Civ, your always a big help around here. I got a factory replacment on the way so I am not going to worry about it now, that and the fact that I will end up with a storm 2 hopefully sooner than later.
