My VZW rep told me June. (I always ask them because I always think it's funny the bs they come up with) He said that they played with the HTC incredible the week before. That's probably where I will end up if I don't like the google phone that appears to be imminent.

Every device under the sun has gotten an OS leak in the past two days...except the 9500 and the 9530. If @bbleaks is right about "leak week" continuing tomorrow, we should *hopefully* see some love soon. Hang in there everyone lol

At least the "latest known OS" seems to be keeping pace with the others. Makes me think there is some hope that RIMM hasn't completely stopped, and there is potential for more leaks.

Lame...another carrier releasing this instead of something higher.

It looks like Telus and one other Mexican carrier, both of whom are still 4.7 .122 are the last hopes for something new for 9530....well I guess there is hope VZW will still have one more release

So one Mexican carrier is still on a 4.7 OS, them and VZW is the only other 9530 carrier not on .419

Just waiting for September to roll around, so I can trade off the Storm and move on to something with a browser that is faster than a dial up connection with a slow 28.8 modem. That and the lack of OS updates for the 9530 combine to make me look to something other than replacing with another RIM product. Waiting waiting waiting!!

My last hope was that VZW wanted to have PTT on S1/S2 which would require and update. Since the S2 release does not have PTT I'd say we are done boys and girls.

Ditto. That was my hope as well vis-a-vis Verizon. Our only hope now is some other carrier releasing something better, but that is looking increasingly improbable.

Latest known OS = 607. This might sound naive, but why would RIMM keep developing OS's for the 9530 if they don't think carriers will release it? Just trying to keep my hopes up...

Just out of curiousity, where did you get .607 from? Do you have info? Or is it just from looking at the forums here? .607 was released for the Storm2 9550, but no one here has any info about the latest known OS for the Storm 1 9530 being .607.

But not sure how up to date that is anyway. A lot of the recent officials, like the Tour and S2 are not up to date.

RIM definitely developed past .419 and so far just big Red has dropped the s1. But that. Being said I don't expect any more leaks from 9530.

Seeing as how the Tour got an official VZW OS today, and the Tour was supposedly EOL'd recently, I'd say there's still a sliver of hope for the Storm to get an update.
