I have a number of back up files for my Storm on my PC. I have the "LoaderBackup" files and the regular "Backup" files. For both types, the file names end in either .ipd or .cab. What's the difference? Can I use either type to restore my Storm manually using DM? Just wondering, no biggie..

Normally you will use the ipd files to restore data.

The backup files are the ones you created through DM. The Loaderbackup files are the ones created by Loader.exe when you install an OS.

I have never used the cab file, so I cannot answer your question regarding if you can or should use it.

I usually just use the most recent, and eventually erase the older ipd files.
