Hey guys, looking for advice. Got a plantronics headset for the storm. It works fine but if i put my storm in the holster or my pocket I get a ton of static. It's probably the headset and I was wondering what everybody uses and what works the best. Thanx

I am using the Plantronics 925 and the sound quality is not that great with the Storm. It was great with my Pearl so I think I have to blame the Storm.

maybe you need a better bluetooth set? i have a jawbone 2 and have gone through 3 different storms and i've never gotten any form or sort of static, infact i like it so much i prefer the jawbone over normal talking on the phone, its so clear and i can be driving with my windows and top down on my car at 80mph and the person on the other line would never even know i'm in a car.

so you changed phones because of your bluetooth? seems to be cheaper to have just gotten a better bluetooth

i have no idea about talk time, but i can go 2 days without charging my jawbone battery and i own a business so i'm ALWAYS on my phone, i've had it beep low battery at me but was able to carry out convo's throughout the entire day still and it never shut down on me

Yes - but apparantly, it has gone through three revisions over time. Currently V3 is the latest. I just bought one yesterday. There's a thread on that topic - search for it.

I have used the Sony Ericsson HBH 660 and 608 and both worked pretty well. But the earhook is problematic. I just got the Plantronics 925 now and it seems to be static free and clear. And very comfortable.

I ordered the Jabra 8040 for $20. I've read mostly good reviews about it, and it also uses the same charger and allows you to listen to music. 2 Days bargain :: Deal a day | Two day deal. Electronic deals, Clothing, Jewelry and more.

I also have a H710. I stopped using it a while back because bluetoooth was killing my Storm battery way too fast - I wasn't getting a full day out of it.

How is it with your storm ? Which software version are you using. I think I stopped using bluetooth back in version .99 or something like that. Maybe it's time to plug my H710 back in

I currently used the Jawbone (ver 1). It is a bit pricey; but the call quality is very good. Just be prepared to play with the ear pads and ear hooks to get the proper feel of the device. And for callers thinking that you are lying when you tell them that you are not in your office. lol
