Wondering what file you guys remove when installing a new beta release to get more memory (besides the picture wallpaper and video) for all of those abusers?

Only two files you really need to worry about.

One Plazmic 4.7 comes out we can delete the standard theme as well, somehow I can't see the need for a theme to take up 3MB of space.

Actually, just like other BBs, you'll need to keep the one main control theme loaded in order for the OS to function.

    all the vads,
    the 4 net_rim_bb_help.cods
    net_rim_event_log_viewer_app.cod
    VodaFoneMusic.cod
VZNavigator.cod, if I didn't run it i'd pull the visual voicemail too.
and of course the two bb_medialoader_360x480.cods
All total, I pull 44 files...

If you want color folder options when adding a new folder, don't delete this one.

Those are all options available from dm on whether to install or not.
I leave them alone, I HAVE got a brick by deleting some of these and the search cods.
Also, stay away from the setup wizard stuff, this will take away the options folder.
If you go farther than the files I said above, remove but don't delete them from your pc, that way if you do get the java error afterwards, you can reinstall the files..

Deleting VAD and event viewer cause other issues with stability with OS. This is why I don't suggest you do it.

So I know this must be a silly question to some, but how and where do you find these files to delete?

    In XP:

    Navigate to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\9530-v4.7.3.101_P4.0.3.101\Java

Change the view to details so you can see the size of the files.

Then just scroll down till you see the bigger file sizes.

The first file is 5mb and the other one is 1mb.
