Love it, though there is a .148/5.0 hybrid as well. Read through some of the findings and see what you think. If you don't like it, you can always go back to what you have.

.148 leak had huge memory leak for me. was droping down to 28mb...usually around 49-43 with the OOAK Hybrid v4.
Just now installing Lyrs 148/5.0.0.90 hybrid. will report back.
cgc2, the leak is from an app. a memory leak isn't an OS issue. it's from an app not freeing up the memory when its done with the modules. they just stay there...sorry.

Um, the OS's don't cause your memory leak. It's one of the apps you're using. I've used several OS's and haven't had a memory leak yet. And there is definitely no memory leak in .148.

is there an echo in here? i have a patch to fix that
well, this is the first OS that makes my app just stay there and not free up memory

Seriously, I am open to your thoughts guys...just reporting what and how the Storm acted after .148.
Yeah, go read 1200 posts about how 'fast' it is, how much memory is left after it boots, how quicklaunch doesnt work, and how it lacks proper dithering (shows color bands). That will set you straight!
I really think (but I am a noob so what do I know) the storm forum needs two sections: "technical/scientific observation" and "bragging/whining". Anyone who would like to discuss specific actual features/improvements/bugs can go in the former, and everyone who wants to pointlessly observe how much free memory their phone has or how many 'more bars' they get can go into the latter.
The .148 java files are great, but I've been havin issues with the radio code.
So last night i 'built' my own little hybrid...
.109 keyboard
.132 radio
.132 gps
.148 java files
5.0 java files added
Shrunk everything but Default Font
So far its been perfect. No signal drop, no keyboard lag, booted up 3 times over 56mb. It dropped to 44mb once but after sitting idle for couple hours it recovered to 54mb. I usually don't get these kinda numbers this early after initial install so I'm anxious to see how it goes the next couple of days.
If you try this, please know what you're doing. And no i won't take responsibility if you brick it (obligatory disclaimer).

QuickLaunch just got updated by the developer and i for one couldn't give a sh!t less about color banding. I make my own themes and change backgrounds and colors and eliminate banding period. My phone flies and is personalized so I'm a happy fanboy.
Oh, and welcome N00B.
